The annual Tweedy Mile Street Fair is held on the first week of June.  It is one of the largest street fair in Southern California. It is located on the Tweedy Boulevard.  It begins on the Hunt Street and ends at California Street. Carnival rides are divided in two sections.  Kid’s rides are located on the east end and adult’s rides are on the west side. In between the kids and adult rides are commercial booths.  Also a large stage stands tall in the middle of the fair with with special entertainers and surprise celebrities.  A community entertainment stage is also provided for the local talent.  This fair is secured by the South Gate Police Department.  This is a very safe family oriented event. Booth applications and sponsorship are available starting February every year.
